TODAY WE CELEBRATE 44… IT’S OUR STUDIO ANNIVERSARY!!!

That’s right, April 1st marks Debbie Daanen Photography’s 44th year in business!
(Or what I have always affectionately referred to, as our Work-iversary, haha).

After 44 years, or at least the last 24 that I can speak on, when this day rolls around each year, I really try to celebrate it and give a huge shout out, of course, to the one and only, Debbie Daanen herself. Although she may not be a day to day face around here anymore, don’t think she isn’t celebrating today as well.. 44 years isn’t something to be taken lightly… And believe me, we don’t! Every day brings new adventures, and challenges, and great stories that we will be sharing for the next 44 years.

Some people may refer to today as a birthday or anniversary, but whatever you call it, it is truly a day to celebrate and to really appreciate how lucky we are to be doing what we love and call it work.

We say it all the time, but no time is more appropriate than today… THANK YOU.
Thank you to our clients, both old and new. We obviously could not have had continued success all this time without you. We love working with you and creatively serving the community as we always have and will continue to do.

Thank you to our friends and family for all those continued years of support. You know better than anyone how crazy our lives can get and you choose to love us through it all anyway.

And thank you, of course to our staff, Laurie and Stacey, we literally could not have done it without you. Thank you to our DDP roadcrew, mainly, Barb, Laura, Katie, Katrina and Kylie: our collection of friends who have stepped up to assist us when we need the additional staff at any given event. That level of commitment does not go unappreciated.

Finally, thank you to all the groups, business, schools and organizations that we have photographed over the years. Thank you for trusting us as your photographers all these years.

Thank you for making the last 44 years amazing and thank you for a great work-versary! Cheers to 44 years and here’s to many more! 🙂

April 1st… Is our Work-iversary!

That’s right; April 1^st (no joke), marks Debbie Daanen Photography’s 43rd anniversary of years in business! Most of you know Debbie officially retired a few years back, but we are carrying on the name that for so many years has meant quality service, exceptional photography work and authentic artistry.

In 43 years, we have seen it all… the comings and goings of photography businesses, products and trends… gone through the critical industry changes from film to digital… the rise and fall of the economy and so on…  When this day rolls around each year, we are able to reflect on what a difference a year can make and add up all 43 of them, and we have quite the collection of treasured memories and hilarious stories!

We say it all the time, but no time is more appropriate than today: THANK YOU!

Thank you to our clients, old and new. We obviously could not have had continued success all this time without you. It is a true pleasure to serve you. Thank you to those reading this…for caring enough, not only about our business, but about us, as people.

Thank you to our friends and families, who no matter how crazy our ideas seemed, continue to support us.  It is not an easy road to make a living in the arts, and we certainly appreciate your encouragement.

A huge thank you to our staff, Laurie and Stacey… This ship would surely sink without you. Your hard work, dedication and willingness to ‘go with the flow’ is forever appreciated. Thank you to our DDP Road Crew (Barb, Laura, Trina) – the collection of our friends that are willing to help out at the craziest of photo shoots and event; that always says ‘yes,’ no matter how odd or overwhelming the request.

Thank you, of course, to Debbie Daanen herself, who took a chance 43 years ago on opening her own business and then again in 2008 when adding Ashley to the company.  I promise the wide-eyed kid that was introduced to you at 17 years old, never imagined she was only beginning her long journey with you in this amazing business of photography.

For those of you wondering, Debbie is truly living her best life, traveling and enjoying all that free time that retirement allows.  We still see her often and will surely be raising a glass together soon to celebrate 43 years!

Thank you to all the groups and organizations, companies, schools and sports leagues that we have photographed over the years. There are far too many of you to list, but your continued business and friendships mean the world to us.

To anyone else whom I might have missed… Thank you.  We just want to tell you from the bottom of our hearts, that we appreciate you and thank you for your continued business! We love what we do and have been lucky enough to do it for 43 amazing years!

WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!

We have begun the tedious process of completely rebuilding our current website… Starting from the ground up!  That means new photo samples, new layout, new design,  new everything! Which is all very exciting and we are thrilled to eventually roll it out to the world, that also means we could use some updated content.  Each Winter, we add new/update existing gallery samples, text and testimonials, but since we are on the rebuild wagon, we are putting it out to you and would love to hear what you have to say!  We are looking to feature a more prominent client testimonial section on the new site, so if you have something nice to say, we would love to share it!

As a thank you to those who submit a testimonial, we will happily send you a little something for your time.
